San Jose, Costa Rica (PRWEB) November 26, 2007 -- As part of the services offered to hotels under the Hotel Pure Express brand and the Costa Rican tourism sector, Overseas Hotel Management of Costa Rica (OHMCR) has announced that it is in the development stage of its own online reservations system.

OHMCR's staff's engineers took on the task of analyzing the country's current hotel and tourism reservation system with the goal of developing a local online booking tool that will not only speed up the booking process but will also decrease error margins by far.

Typically, the local hotels and tour operators manage their bookings by hand and via fax confirmation. OHMCR has begun to translate this manual operation into software that will allow for real time booking, proper back up of all transactions for the client and the service provider as well as avoid mishaps such as overbooking.

In addition, OHMCR is a company which is deeply concerned in the country's eco-friendly sustainability and strongly supports the Going Green campaign. Implementing such an online booking tool will drastically cut back in paper and ink usage.

The Online Reservations System will have a very user friendly interface which will include the hotel's availability map with the rooms' layout as well as special request inputs. This online reservation system will be offered to all of the Hotel Pure (http://www.hotelpure.com) branches in order to maintain a centralized database.

"We are very confident that this booking system will avoid issues such as double bookings or lack of information that could concern the customer", said Jorge Arana, OHMCR's Reservations Manager.

OHMCR's own shuttle service will also be included into this Online Reservations System with the purpose of complimenting the customer's complete experience.
